Our impact

Rural Derbyshire Schools Sport Partnership’s aim is to increase the numbers of school children and students doing PE and playing sport.  We’re proud of our end of term reports and team results.

HIGHLIGHTS:
• At Derbyshire School Summer Games in July our teams won 6 medals including 2 Golds.
• Our SSP won the first ever Derbyshire School Winter Games last March.

OUR 2012/13 END OF YEAR REPORT

• We ran 100 events for primary and secondary schools
• In 24 different sports and activities
• Involving school teams competing 540 times
• That means our pupils participated 6,610 times in festivals and competitions

Young Leaders
• We’ve trained 350 Young Leaders to help deliver our events and activities
• Between them, they’ve volunteered 936 times over the past year
• Each time volunteering 3.5 hours
• That’s a grand total of 3,276 volunteering hours

• We’ve run 5 Inclusion/Disability events for infant, primary & secondary aged pupils
• Involving school teams competing 19 times.
• That means our pupils participated 111 times in festivals and competitions

SUMMER 2013
• We ran 39 sports events
• Involving school teams competing 221 times
• That means our pupils participated 2,460 times in festivals and competitions
• Between them, our Young Leaders volunteered 350 times over the term
• Each time volunteering 3.5 hours
• That’s a grand total of 1,225 volunteering hours.

SPRING 2013
• We ran 38 sports events
• Involving school teams competing 189 times
• That means our pupils participated 2,226 times in festivals and competitions
• Between them, our Young Leaders volunteered 248 times over the term
• Each time volunteering 3.5 hours
• That’s a grand total of 868 volunteering hours

AUTUMN 2012
• We ran 18 sports events
• Involving school teams competing 111 times
• That means our pupils participated 1,813 times in festivals and competitions
• Between them, our Young Leaders volunteered 348 times over the term
• Each time volunteering 3.5 hours
• That’s a grand total of 1,148 volunteering hours
